The rhythm game series Rock Band is coming to Facebook. Rock Band World, launching later this month, isn't a game in itself. However, it does bring players of other RB games together so that they can compete.World will enable Blitz players to challenge each other to Score Wars. You can also team up with friends to complete various Goals. If you're a lone wolf, you can pursue these Goals on your own.
Rock Band 3 players will be able to make use of World as well. You can browse the complete Rock Band catalog and get detailed stats on your in-game performance with each track. You can also find out how your friends have performed.
World will be released alongside Blitz next week. Blitz is a downloadable rhythm game designed for the gamepad rather than peripherals. It ships with 25 songs and can also play songs from Rock Band 3. The game's due on August 28th via PSN and on the 29th via Xbox Live Arcade.
