German Football Association president Wolfgang Niersbach wants national boss Joachim Low to carry on with the side after the World Cup.
There has been speculation regarding Low's future with the national side, with his current contract set to expire after the World Cup in Brazil next year.
Niersbach is a big admirer of Low and feels the 53-year-old should extend his deal with the DFB beyond the major tournament in South America.
He said: "I really do like the way we are going with Jogi.
"And I know that the DFB board of directors have the same feeling.
"The most important thing for me is that the coach and the team get on well together and I can see a highly professional job being done."
