Health and Fitness Talk ? The downside of detox dieting

When doing any detoxification program, it is important to note some of the known detox side effects involved. A successful program leads to release of toxins, getting rid of harmful bacteria, parasites and candida (yeast overgrowth).? All these waste will enter your body system and need to be eliminated. Thus, one will usually experience issues like:

  • Loss of appetite
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Thirst
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Headaches
  • Drowsiness and fatigue
  • Sleep interruptions
  • Increased urination
detox headache

Headaches can be a side effect of a stringent detox diet.

These detox side effects are what we term as ?healing crisis? and they are generally short-term with intensity being highest during the first two weeks. When the healing crisis waivers off or ends, it does not mean that our detox ends as well. Some of your known problems becomes adverse and heighten. In other words your migraine or fatigue becomes more intense than previously experienced or your sinusitis got a lot worse where the mucus runs down your nose more extensively than before the detox.

The good part of this is that your body has begun clearing the toxins and is beginning to rejuvenate, repair, and heal. It is still in its detox mode but with a more effective way of eliminating the waste from your body. Please keep in mind that the number of years of introducing toxins into our body and damaging it cannot be easily resolved by a mere short detox period. ?This has to be a consistent and gradual effort where we permit our body to run in cycles of elimination during the healing crisis. We should let our body effects run its course and restore to its healthy state. ?This is ever so important during cancer cleansing, where your body suffers from bouts of side effects and cycles of more energy. This is because of the chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatments as well as pumping up the body?s immune function to fight against the cancer cells.

Therefore, during the healing crisis we should remember to drink a lot of water and take more rest. This will increase our toxin elimination process and allow the body system to activate its necessary repair work.

Our body?s main detoxification organs and systems are liver, kidneys, colon, gallbladder lymph, lungs, skin and blood. They help rid your body of wastes and toxins. However, our bodily functions were designed when the world were less polluted. But now with a world with much more pollution and toxins, our body organs and systems have to work a lot more to rid the increased toxins and waste. ??Imagine overworked workers who are also not provided with enough food for every meal. This will definitely tire them out and their effective and efficient work performance will naturally sink. This leads to work not fully accomplished or even worse undone.

Simply said detox should reduce the amount of toxins and pollution into our body to lessen the burden against the detoxification organs and promote healthy eating, nutrition and supplementation to help our bodies effectively clear the toxins.

There are some great Benefits of Detox like an improve our Immune Function or a reformed lifestyle free of addictions to sugar, salt, high glycemic carbohydrates, alcohol, junk foods, nicotine, etc.? You can also strengthen your body?s fight against cancer cells and generate healthy cells in our body that can also purify your blood and Scavenge free radicals and eliminate toxins.

So basically if done right your body will not be kept busy dealing with all these cleansing process so that it can its focus on doing the more important things like fighting back cancer and chronic degenerative diseases, restoring our health, and repairing the damage in our body. Always be mindful to seek expert advice for a detox program that will suit you.
