CHURCH of Christ senior pastor Philip Kua wants to shed some light on what goes on at church at its open day tomorrow.
The congregation, which has been holding church services in the same spot for 60 years, will open its new building to the public and show the services it offers.
Mr Kua said a new church had been built because the 600-strong congregation had outgrown the old one.
"It's like coming home," Mr Kua said of the new building.
"Now the real business of caring and loving people begins."
As well as normal church activities, Clayton Church of Christ provides English conversation classes, a homework club, university student ministry and a high school students' group.
"We feel really proud to be in Clayton," Mr Kua said.
"We feel very much a part of the community here."
The open day is on June 16 from 11am to 3pm at 25 Burton Ave, Clayton, and will include free food and activities.
