CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An area church group is headed to Kenya, preparing to lend a hand to needy families.
House of Hope is a program undertaken by the Kenya Baptist Convention. The of 11 from Nations Ford Community Church will travel to Kenya for about 11 days to build four home for four separate families.
This is the second year they've done mission work in the country. In the past, they've traveled to other spots like Haiti.
The group flew out out of Charlotte Douglas Airport early Tuesday morning. They'll return next Friday.
