California man killed in two-car accident on I-76

A California man was killed in a two-vehicle accident this morning on I-76 west of the Atwood exit, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

A wreck was reported at about 5:08 a.m. this morning, and emergency crews found the two vehicles off the road traveling eastbound.

The driver of the second vehicle, an Arizona man, was given precautionary transport to the hospital, though a CSP representative was unsure of the injuries. The California man also had a child in his car, the representative said, but they were unsure of their injuries as well.

Names couldn't be released, as family had yet to be informed. More details of the accident will be available by this afternoon.
