The Three Little Pigs At School
If you are educating children about danger and planning ahead then sooner or later you may be examining The Three Little Pigs and specifically the consequences of over-confidence. This story is ideal for introducing the subject of materials and how they may be used for constructing strong buildings. The end result will be a vibrant and bright classroom where every single child will be able to have their own work on show. Children can learn the phonetic sound of the letter p and create words that rhyme with the word pig.
Pigs feature in numerous other stories and there are interesting factual books also available. The children can learn about different farm animals and a visit to a farm would be ideal to give children first hand experience. President Ron Phipps, broker-president of Phipps Realty in Warwick, R.I. ?As Realtors?, we bring the most value to our clients by applying new perspectives to their knowledge and experience. In that regard, it?s important for us not only to recognize these Realtors? for their success, but also to learn from them, since they are the future of the real estate profession.?The 2011 ?30 Under 30? class is a diverse crowd of young real estate professionals. However, among the group are several common threads: a willingness and determination to pass along their knowledge and teach others; an entrepreneurial spirit; and the ambition to try something new and take risks. These traits have helped some members of this year?s class triple their personal sales volumes, become their association?s youngest president, and pursue an M.B.A. and other degrees while working a full-time career.
In the context of today?s market challenges, it?s as important as ever for this year?s honorees to educate their clients on the different aspects of home ownership, as well as the buying and selling process. ?I try to take the time to make sure clients understand everything from their financing to their escrow, as well as the contractual process. In addition to educating their clients, these young professionals are making a distinctive mark in their local markets. Matthew Peterson, a broker-owner of Prodigy Real Estate in Maplewood, Minn., created a business model that helps young people get started in a business that many enter as a second career.
Jason Anderson, president-broker with Halo Group Realty LLC in Allen, Texas, entered the real estate business at age 25 and developed his own website with a direct multiple listing service feed and his own property management software. After two years he founded TAG (The Anderson Group) Realty Advisors and later sold it to Halo Group Realty. Many other honorees have struck out on their own, realizing the value in innovation and drive.
Some have combined their start-up ideas with helping those in need, reinforcing the Realtor? commitment to improving the quality of life in communities. Blake Sloan, broker-owner of Sloan Realty Group in Myrtle Beach, S.C., helped start REO4Kids.com, which earmarks $100 for every foreclosure sale for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In 2010, the group donated more than $185,000.
Success in real estate today is often predicated on being able to adapt to rapidly changing markets. Tiffani Conatser found this to be true when she saw an opportunity to work in foreclosures even when the market was at its peak. ?While most other agents were busy selling residential real estate in the early to mid-2000s I chose to shift my business to selling bank-owned homes,? said Conatser, a salesperson with Crye-Leike Realtors? in Nashville, Tenn. ?The market at the time seemed almost too good to be true. I saw an opportunity in REOs (real estate-owned properties) while most agents turned their nose up when they heard the term ?bank-owned home.??
Despite their varying paths to real estate success, there?s one value held strongly by all the ?30 Under 30? honorees and the rest of the Realtor? community: the importance of home ownership. Scott Engle, broker-owner of Realty Source Inc. in El Cajon, Calif., grew up in an apartment and always wondered what it would be like to have his own home. ?Now I understand the motivations of a first-time buyer and the importance and value of home ownership,? said Engle.
This year marks the 11th anniversary of REALTOR? Magazine?s ?30 Under 30? program. Over the years 360 rising young stars have been recognized for their commitment and dedication to the real estate industry.

The highland lakes and reservoirs

I haven?t only seen this type of thing one or maybe two times, I have seen it over and over again, if your an investor and you have an interest in cars, it just might be the right time to start throwing some of your cash at the classic car industry, or at least look in to it a bit more, if you have a favorite car, or favorite manufacture; do some research on the car or manufacture that you love, chances are that there was some special version of you favorite car built, and that would peak your interest HUH?

The Queen of Daytime recounted the lessons she's learned over a quarter century on the air, mixing in some of her greatest words of wisdom for good measure.
"I wanted to encourage you to be more of yourself," she told viewers, adding that while her show was her calling, people watching must find and act on their own mission. "You can help somebody, you can listen, you can forgive, you can heal," she said. "You have the power to change someone's life."
Of course, Oprah also wanted to drive home the fact that change starts with the person in the mirror. "You are responsible for the energy you create for yourself, and the energy you bring to others. Don't wait for somebody else to save you, to complete you, to fix you."
She also urged people to look for the blessings in their lives. "You're worthy because you're born and you are here," she said. "You alone are enough." She told viewers to validate the people in their lives, because that's what every person wants and needs: "I see you, I hear you, and what you say matters to me."
At the end of the hour, Winfrey said she felt "all sweet, no bitter," and thanked viewers. "I won't say goodbye. I'll just say, 'Until we meet again.'"
She then stepped down the stairs of the stage, walked through the audience -- which included Winfrey's fourth grade teacher, actor/director Tyler Perry, close friend Maria Shriver and best friend Gayle King -- and stopped to give longtime partner Stedman Graham a hug and kiss.
She continued out the studio doors and high-fived staffers lining the hallways and staircase leading to the upper floor. At the top of the stairs, she picked up her blond cocker spaniel, and said, "Sadie, we did it!" She then walked with the pup in her arms toward her office as the show ended... forever.
Wednesday's show was the last original episode; reruns will air through September. Winfrey now turns her attention to her new TV network, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Though she hasn't announced any plans to appear regularly on the channel, what we "know for sure" -- a fave Winfrey catchphrase -- is that we certainly haven't heard the last of Oprah.

Exclusive! Carrie Prejean Lawsuit Thrown Out!
Yup. Just as we thought!
We reported back in April that The Miss California USA pageant was being sued by the National Organization for Marriage Group because they claimed that their former spokesperson, Carrie Prejean, had her reputation ruined by the pageant when they deliberately released damaging information about her which ultimately led to losing her crown!
However, a source close to the matter has exclusively informed PerezHilton.com that the court has JUST dismissed the case!
Guess it didn't hold too much merit, seeing as NOM fired HER themselves before even filing the suit!
Smart thinking, guys!
Here's hoping that this can be the end of such a STOOPID mess!

We're not quite sure why Microsoft didn't make mention of it during its big event yesterday, but the company has now confirmed that its forthcoming "Mango" update will also bring with it another significant addition to the Windows Phone scene: a web-based Marketplace. That will of course let you browse and buy apps right from your favorite web browser, and then have them installed on your phone ("via SMS or email," apparently). You'll also be able to take advantage of various social networking tie-ins to share apps with your friends, and the Marketplace will hang onto your download history so you can easily reinstall all of your apps if you switch phones -- and, yes, you can count on plenty of Bing integration as well.

Review:
I think I enjoyed this book more than all the others. While quite a few new characters are introduced, to me, they didn't detract from the story but added more action and a bit more depth. The love triangle fight between Max, Fang and Dylan was a good add as well (although I admit, I suppose I'm still getting used to lovey-dovey Max as opposed to the side that just likes to kick butt and take names but as it's mentioned in the books, the girl is changing...guess I need to get with the program, xD).
I suppose my favorite part would have to be the One Light/Doomsday Group rally held at Ella's school. Not sure if the obsession of the characters to the cause was supposed to be funny or not, but I got many a good laugh from that; I'm still chuckling about it!
Fast-paced, exciting, and not just 300 pages of Max whining about Fang and Angel. I also loved the addition of Fang's flock, and Dylan not being a d-bag. I must say I'm becoming a big fan of Dylan-Max.
